Held in the autumn at the same time as harvest festival, British Food Fortnight is the biggest annual, national celebration of British food and drink. It was established in the wake of the Foot and Mouth crisis, which hit Yorkshire particularly hard
To celebrate British food fortnight Lockwoods will be creating a special menu using the fantastic local produce available in Yorkshire and across the UK. At this time of year there is a glut of fantastic fruit and vegetables that we should all be using more of. Lockwoods sources many of its ingredients locally and works in partnership with Ripon Workhouse museum to use all the fantastic heritage produce grown there.
Keep an eye our for our seasonal menu which will be online soon…
